Precognition endows the player with glimpses into the immediate future, granting insight that enables evasion of impending enemy attacks before they occur. By reading subtle temporal eddies, the player can anticipate blows and shots about to be launched by attackers and preemptively move to avoid them. This foreknowledge comes in brief flashes conveying a couple seconds of events yet to pass. Precognition is purely defensive, only helpful moments before attacks, not long term. It provides no insight into more distant events. But its life-saving warnings help counteract the element of surprise and allow the player to steer clear of lethal danger. Precognition helps turn the tables on would-be ambushers, letting the player avoid becoming the prey. However, the power is not infallible.
