Pre-release Speculation
Activating Particle Beam allows the player to fire a concentrated beam of energy over long distances, inflicting severe damage to any single target it hits. The beam burns through defenses and burrows deep into most materials and entities. This power provides a means of sniping enemies from afar, offering an alternative to conventional firearms when discretion or pinpoint accuracy is paramount. Particle Beam can pierce cover, armor, and environmental obstacles to strike critical targets that might otherwise be untouchable. It appears capable of burning through most shielding as well given sufficient duration of exposure. Particle Beam allows quickly eliminating high threat enemies or detonating hazardous objects from a position of safety. However, the beam is highly focused and only damages one target at a time.
