Pre-release Speculation
Parallel Self enables the player to summon one or more magical copies of themselves that appear and behave identically to the player. These copies are autonomous allies that can support the player in combat and exploration challenges via strength in numbers. Each copy draws some of the player's own power and abilities, being able to use gear and skills within their limits. They provide additional damage output against enemies and can draw aggro to protect the player. The copies may also be able to interact with the environment, potentially solving puzzles cooperatively. However, Parallel Selves appear to only last a limited duration before dissipating. Their limitations compared to the true player remain vague as well. But this power grants welcome aid when the player is outnumbered or requires performing multiple actions simultaneously.
